anyone with 56k need help

i am on 56k at the min and getting cut off every 2 hours not too great when you are downloading EQ, but is there a program or a way to stop me from geting the boot ever 2 hours..so far 292MB i have got <cry>

im not sure what your prob is but i know on my laptop which is runing on dial up i used to get disconected 6 hours after logging in my ISP and i mean Exactly 6 hours to the minute. someone told me sighning in your ISP then out and then sighn back in again would help with my prob so i tried it.

I Log in my ISP(MSN) Log out and close everything ISP related, Log back in and then just close the browser and i get to stay on 12 hours instead of 6 soemthing about the sighning out right after you sighn in helps me, Not sure if this will help you UK but its works for me.

i used to run dial up. The dial up provider has a set amount of time they let someone stay online before they disconnect them. I had to call my provider and they changed it so I could stay on as long as i wanted. I think it had to do with them not wanting to waste transfer on someone that was not at the computer or something /shrug

al try the cut off part if that dont work i will ring my ISP up thanx for the info guys
